The atmosphere is genuine European old world charm, the rooms are quite fine and include a kettle, the kitchen offers traditional fare, often with a pleasant twist. Parking is ample, except for evenings on weekends when the restaurant draws many guests. The setting is inmidst a rural, leafy, forest-y environment which invites for many a walk. I recommend staying there. Just adjust your expectations a bit and you will have a memorable experience.

Das Waldhaus Hotz ist nahe Langen ein lohnendes Ziel für Fahradfahrer. Wir haben im Biergarten gesessen und lecker gegessen. Der Hotz ist für seine Schnitzel bekannt und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Toll ist, dass es die Schnitzel in 3 Größen gibt. Da ist dann für jeden Hunger was dabei. Die Preise sind angemessen und die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam und das Essen kam zügig aus der Küche. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
